Our History
Temple Beth Am Nursery School was formed in 1964 by Rabbi Alfred Friedman. The school was organized to be an arm to the Temple, to provide a high quality service to the community, and to be non-sectarian.
The school grew from being able to accommodate 39 preschool children to our present capacity of 171 children ages eighteen months to five years old. This was made possible with the building of a new addition to the Temple in 1971 and providing both morning and afternoon classes.
On July 1, 1986, the school was reorganized as a non-profit corporation pursuant to the Massachusetts General Laws and it became known as The Nursery School at Temple Beth Am, Inc.
The Nursery School at Temple Beth Am is staffed with highly qualified, dedicated, loving and enthusiastic lead teachers, teachers, and assistant teachers that have nurtured many children in our school throughout the years. Our staff attends many early childhood workshops, training sessions, conferences, and courses to better serve the needs of our children and parents.
