The Purpose of The Nursery School at Temple Beth Am is to provide a developmentally appropriate, happy environment for the preschool child in a world scaled to his/her size with activities planned for growth.

Both program and environment are carefully planned and geared to the emotional, social, mental and physical needs of the child.

Bright, airy, well-lit classrooms provide an encouraging atmosphere for work and play. A large, well-equipped fenced outdoor play area is provided on Temple grounds, a safe distance from the street and parking lot for the children. A separate enclosed play yard is provided for Toddlers. The Pre-Kindergarten children also enjoy a series of field trips, taken in the course of the school year, with parental consent.
